UGC Scholarship 2021-22: University Grants Commission, UGC is inviting interested and eligible candidates to apply for the various scholarships available for the academic sessions 2021-2022. 

Students who are in need of financial assistance can now apply for various scholarship programs available under the University Grants Commission. The UGC Scholarship 2021-22 details are now available on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). 

The application window for UGC Scholarships 2021-22 is now open for interested candidates at the NSP website at scholarships.gov.in. The last date to submit applications for the same is November 30, 2021.

UGC Scholarships 2021-22: Indira Gandhi PG Scholarship for Single Girl Child (SGC)

Under the Indira Gandhi PG Scholarship for Single Girl Child (SGC), the UGC will offer a fellowship amount of INR 36,200 per annum for two years to a single girl child. Check the key details of the scholarship in the table below: 

To apply for the Indira Gandhi PG Scholarship for Single Girl Child (SGC), single girl students must be pursuing PG courses from UGC-affiliated colleges and should meet the age limit of 30 years at the time of PG course admission.

UGC Scholarships 2021-22: PG Scholarship for University Rank Holder Candidate (URH)

Students who have secured top rankings can now apply for PG Scholarship for University Rank Holder (URG) 2021. The scholarship is available for all students who meet the eligibility criteria.

UGC Scholarships 2021-22: Ishan Uday Special Scheme for North Eastern Region (NER)

Union Grants Commission offers a scholarship program especially for students of the North Eastern Region. Under this program, students are offered with about INR 5400 per month to complete their general degree program. 

As for students who are pursuing technical, medical, professional, and paramedical courses, the UGC offers them a scholarship amount of INR 7800 per month under the scholarship program.

UGC Scholarships 2021-22: PG Scholarship for Professional Courses for SC/ST Candidate (PGSPROF)

As for students of SC and ST who are now pursuing a PG Professional Course, the Union Grants Commission offers them with a PG Scholarship Program 2021 to help them with their financial needs. 

Students who are selected for PG Scholarship for Professional Courses for SC/ST Candidate (PGSPROF) are awarded with a scholarship amount of Rs.7800 per month for the duration of their course completion. 

To apply for this scholarship program, students who meet the criteria will have to submit their applications for the same on or before the given deadline; November 30, 2021.

Referring to the scholarship, the UGC Official Notification released, “The students are advised to submit their online applications well in time so that their institutions are able to verify applications within the prescribed timeline”.

As per the schedule, the process for verification of applications and resubmission of defective applications for Union Grants Commission, UGC Scholarships 2021-2022 will be done by the approved institutes and colleges by December 15, 2021.
