The University Grants Commission (UGC) has announced a list of Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds (SWAYAM) programmes for the January 2022 semester. Animations, Animal Biotechnology, AI: Constraint Satisfaction, Academic writing, Access to Justice, and Application Development are just a few of the courses offered by UGC.
Students can now access the SWAYAM portal at swayam.gov.in or ugc.ac.in if they are interested. Students can view the courses that will be offered in January 2022 by login into the website.
UGC on Twitter wrote: “The list of SWAYAM courses to be offered for January 2022 Semester is available at: http://shorturl.at/qvzK1. The UGC SWAYAM Regulations 2021 now facilitates an institution to allow up to 40% of the total courses being offered in a particular program in a semester through SWAYAM.”
The official website contains information on the course duration, start date, the final day for enrolling, and exam dates. The UGC has also released the course structure, eligibility requirements for each subject, and book references.
The UGC has also established course-specific standards for awarding certificates to students. The UGC has specified the course certificate and the conditions that must be met in order to receive the certificate, which includes average passing grades and assignments that vary per course.
UGC in an official statement stated, “The UGC (Credit Framework for Online Learning Courses through Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds) Regulations, 2021, now facilitates an institution to allow up to 40% of the total courses being offered in a particular program in a semester through SWAYAM Platform.”
Additionally, UGC said, “The list of courses to be offered for January 2022 semester is available at www.ugc.ac.in and may also be seen at https://swayam.gov.in. These courses are also beneficial for academic fraternity/working professionals Lifelong learners/ senior citizens/ homemakers at Jain”.
