New Delhi: University Grants Commission has recently released a revised merit list for its Ishan Uday Scholarship Scheme 2020-2021. The state-wise merit list was released for North East Region registered students on the official website of UGC at ugc.ac.in.
Registered students must note that the list of students who have been provisionally selected for the Ishan Uday Scholarship Scheme 2021-22 has been released only for the session 2020-21. Applicants can now check the list by visiting the official website of the commission.
Earlier, the merit list for Ishan Uday Scholarship Scheme 2021-22 was published by the University Grants Commission in July 2021. However, due to some discrepancies, the commission decided to make necessary changes and release a revised list for all students.
As for UGC Ishan Uday Scholarship 2022, the registration window for all interested and eligible candidates is now open on the official website of the commission at ugc.ac.in.

UGC Ishan Uday Scholarship Scheme 2020-2021: How to Check Revised Merit List?
Students who registered for the Ishan Uday Scholarship scheme 2020-21 of the University Grants Commission or UGC can now check the revised merit list by following the steps mentioned below:
Step 1: Visit the official website of the University Grants Commission or UGC at ugc.ac.in.
Step 2: From the homepage, click on the latest “UGC Ishan Uday Scholarship Scheme 2020-2021 Revised Merit List” link available.
Step 3: UGC Ishan Uday Scholarship Scheme 2020-2021 Revised Merit List will appear on the screen.
Step 4: Check the details with care and save the same for future references.
As per the official notice, “The merit lists for 'Ishan Uday Special Scholarship Scheme for NER' -2020-21 was generated in July 2021. However, it was noticed that there were some discrepancies in the merit lists”.
“The selections were reviewed and revised State-wise merit -lists of provisional selected candidates are given at Annexures I to VIII,” the official notification reads.
About UGC Ishan Uday Scholarship
Ishan Uday Scholarship is an initiative by the University Grants Commission under which students of the North East Region (NER) of India are provided with equal education opportunities. The scheme was earlier released in the 2014-15 academic year.
The applications for the scheme are hosted and managed by the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). Every year, 10,000 eligible students are selected for the scheme. The scheme aims to offer professional education to all students in the North East Region (NER) of India.
Selected students are provided with a scholarship amount of Rs 5,400 per month for general degree courses. While for those who wish to pursue their education in technical, medical, professional, paramedical streams are awarded with a fund of Rs 7,800 per month.
