A total of 1,180 Students of Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) were conferred the degree at the SVNIT 18th Convocation held online.
The 18th Convocation of the Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) was addressed by the Education Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal.
In the SVNIT 18th Convocation, a total of 28 students won the gold medals, while 720 students from Bachelor of Technology, 262 from Master of Technology, 87 from Ph.D, and 111 students from Master of Science received their degree certificates.

Ramesh Pokhriyal appreciated the efforts and initiatives introduced by the Institute for Start-ups and directed the students to be job giver than be a job seeker. He addressed the importance of the need for research and development and the significance of the dream of PM Narendra Modi 'AtmaNirbhar Bharat'.
Y S Trivedi was the guest of the event, advisor to CEO and MD of L&T Heavy Engineering who inspired the youths with his 8 point mantra. He directed and described the importance of choosing an accessible role model, learning to accept defeats and working harder, emphasizing on seeking finest details for value addition, striving for attaining higher spiritual life through life balance, and helping others grow in their life among the many other values.

S R Gandhi, director of SVNIT highlighted that nearly 542 students from the institute bagged their positions in top recruiting companies including HSCB, Amazon, Intel, Samsung, Godrej & Honeywell, L&T, Ircon, and NXp Semiconductors through the campus interviews.
