SPJIMR Redesigns its PGPDM programme for a Post COVID World


New Delhi: SPJIMR has restructured its Post Graduate Programme in Development Management (PGPDM). After 11 years of learning and monitoring COVID's recent influence on society, the curriculum has been revised to provide a stronger emphasis on intelligent innovation and change management for long-term growth.

The 12-month executive management programme intends to produce creative leaders for the social development sector, which includes NGOs, foundations, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and social entrepreneurs.

SPJIMR said, “With 19 cohorts over 11 years, the program has impacted 274 organisations across 21 states of India, with PGPDM alumni serving as founders, heads, trustees and directors of NGOs, and as social entrepreneurs, CSR managers, programme officers and social sector consultants”.

SPJIMR PGPDM Programme 2022: Eligibility Criteria

  • A bachelor's degree in any field from a recognised university 
  • and a minimum of two years of relevant work experience 
  • Should have basic proficiency in computers and comfortable with English

SPJIMR PGPDM Programme 2022: How to Apply?

The application process for the PGPDM programme are given below:

  • Open the SPJIMR official website and select the Admissions tab.
  • Now, choose the desired course and click the 'Apply Now' button.
  • The registration form has now been shown on the screen. Fill in all of the essential information and click 'Register.'
  • Candidates will be notified via email whether their registration was successful. 
  • To proceed with the application, access the email account and click on the verification link obtained in the message to finish the application process, which includes uploading all needed documents and submitting the application fee.
  • Download and save the application form for future use.

The programme was launched in 2011 as Indian corporations attempted to accomplish their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goals and NGOs attempted to increase the efficacy of their operations in order to successfully acquire significant grants and CSR funds. 

The SPJIMR admissions process 2022 for the 20th cohort is now ongoing, and the deadline for submitting applications is April 10, 2022, with the cohort starting on May 7, 2022.

Explaining about the programme, SPJIMR said, “The new delivery structure of the programme blends the efficiency of online learning with the networking and relationship building that comes through in-person interactions. The programme is modular and enables participants to continue working at their current organisations.”

The curriculum comprises 30 courses taught over six two-week contact sessions. The first and last contacts are held on the SPJIMR campus in Mumbai, while the remaining four contacts are offered online on weekends and weekday evenings.

“Programme participants become part of SPJIMR’s global alumni and become members of a larger sustainable social innovation community that is nurtured by SPJIMR’s Centre for Innovation in Sustainable Development,” it added.
