Shri Nilesh M Desai, Director of the Space Applications Centre Visits IIT Gandhinagar


New Delhi: IIT Gandhinagar was visited by Shri Nilesh M. Desai, Director of the Space Applications Centre (SAC), one of the key ISRO centres.

"Today we had the pleasure of hosting Shri Nilesh M Desai, Director of the Space Applications Centre (SAC), one of the major centres of the @isro, who informed the audience about "ISRO's Space Technology Programme," according to the tweet from IIT Gandhinagar.

"Shri Desai talked about the path of the Indian Space Programme, narrating numerous success stories, upcoming ambitious #IndianSpace missions, and difficulties, and possibilities for young #engineers, #researchers, and #startups in the space industry," according to another tweet from the institute.

After he spoke to the students, the IIT Gandhinagar Student Satellite Initiative team presented potential proposals for student satellites by IIT Gandhinagar.

Indian Patent Certificate for the innovation was issued to the IIT Gandhinagar team.

For their invention, one of the IIT Gandhinagar teams has received an Indian Patent Certificate. The innovation "A Process for the Preparation of N-Substituted Phenothiazine Derivatives" was created by a team from IITGN made up of Prof. Sivapriya Kirubakaran, Prof. Vijay Thiruvenkatam, Javeena Hussain, Althaf Shaik, and Siddhant Bhoir.

Workshop will be held at IIT Gandhinagar from November 15 to November 21.

From November 15 to November 21, the institute will host a workshop on "AI based techniques in resolving challenges connected to cognitive health." With a focus on diagnoses and intervention related to cognitive health, the goal is to provide didactic instruction in approaches.
