SCTIMST Admission 2023 Open for PDF, PG, PhD & Diploma Courses; Apply till Sep 30

New Delhi: Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST) Trivandrum has begun the application process for admission to its Post Doctoral, PG, PhD, Diploma, PG Diploma, and Advanced Certificate Programs for January 2023 Session. 

SCTIMST, Trivandrum offers PG, PhD, PGD, and advanced certificate programs offered under various specialisations. Candidates who wish to apply for admission can now submit their online applications on the official portal at sctimst.ac.in by September 30, 2022.

For SCTIMST Admission 2023, the institute will conduct a written test and interview round to select candidates for admission seats. The interview round for diploma, PG diploma, and PhD courses will be held on campus ground from November 8 to 18, 2022.

SCTIMST Admission 2023: Important Dates

SCTIMST is a health training and research institute in Trivandrum, that offers multiple programs in various specialisations including radiology, cardiac electrophysiology, epilepsy surgery, pediatric cardiac surgery, and vascular surgery. 

Applicants who are interested in applying for admission to SCTIMST courses can submit their online applications on the official website at sctimst.ac.in before the given deadline. Applications submitted after the mentioned deadline will not be considered for admission.

SCTIMST Admission 2023: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates intending to enrol for admission to SCTIMST Programs 2023 such PDF, PG, PhD, PGD, and advance certificate courses are required to meet the requisite eligibility criteria which are mentioned below:

Eligibility Criteria for PG Courses: 

• Candidates must hold an MBBS degree or an equivalent degree from a recognized university (Medical Council of India/National Medical Commission).
• One-year compulsory rotatory internship from a medical college of repute. 
• Candidates must have completed the requisite qualification, degree, and tenure by January 31, 2023. 

Eligibility Criteria for PDF Courses: 

• Candidates must have passed DM/MCh (3 years) or equivalent qualifications from MCI-recognized institutions.
• Candidates must have registered with the Central/State Medical Council.
• Residents who are in the final year of the program also apply; however, they should submit the certificate at the time of joining.

Eligibility Criteria for PhD Courses: 

• Candidates must have a consistently good academic record with 60% marks in undergraduate and postgraduate examinations. 
• Medical Graduates applying for Ph.D. in Medical Sciences should have 60% marks in MBBS.

Eligibility Criteria for PG Diploma / Diploma/Advanced Certificate Programs 

• Candidates must hold a GNM or BSc Nursing degree 
• Candidates with a GNM degree must have one year of experience as a bedside nurse after passing GNM.
• They should be professionally registered as a nurse by any recognized State Nursing Council in India or by Nursing Boards approved by the Indian Nursing Council.

SCTIMST Admission 2023: Selection Process

Selection Process for Post Doctoral & PG Courses: 

• Selection for the Post-doctoral and PG courses would be done depending on the counseling based on the rank list in the INI-CET conducted by the AIIMS, New Delhi, and verification of certificates and other credentials/documents by SCTIMST.

Selection Process for PDF courses: 

• The applications will be shortlisted based on the merit of a 500 words short research project proposal and letters of reference. 

• The shortlisted candidates will be called for an open departmental interview if there are less than 10 candidates and a written examination if there are more than ten, followed by a final interview. 
• The selected candidate should have applied for and obtained registration with Kerala Medical Commission (KMC)/Travancore Cochin Medical Council (TCMC) at the time of admission at SCTIMST.

Selection Process for PhD Course:

• Selection for PhD is based on their performance in written tests and interview rounds.
• The candidates will also have to submit their research proposal and statement of purpose for taking up a research career.

Step 2: Register yourself after filling in the required details, such as Mobile number, Email Id, etc.

Step 3: Now, log in with your registration credentials and fill in all details in the Application form.

Step 4: Pay the application fee and submit the SCTIMST Admission 2023 Application form. 

Step 5: Applicants must also take a printout of the form for all future needs.
