New Delhi: Sanskriti University in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, has filed a total of 150 Patent Applications with Intellectual Property India in the year 2021 leading it to obtain the 7th position in the list of Indian Academic Institutions with the highest number of patent applications.
Since its establishment in 2016, Sanskriti University has filed over 450 patents and 150 design applications. Among these, more than 50 patent publications have been published already.
Their patent portfolio now includes 21 issued patents along with a dozen new patents from multiple fields such as Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, etc.
Praising this accomplishment, Sachin Gupta, the Chancellor of Sanskriti University stated that research and innovation is the backbone of India. Indian youth have immense potential and unique ideas that can be converted into patents, transferring knowledge into real innovations, he further added.

The Intellectual Property (IP) Cell of Sanskriti University conducts monthly awareness programmes to educate the students and staff members about the significance of IP protection and commercialisation.
