The Reliance Foundation has announced a scholarship program for 100 brilliant students in the nation, comprising 60 undergraduate and 40 postgraduate students. Candidates who are eligible and interested can apply at scholarships.reliancefoundation.org.
The deadline to apply for the scholarship programme is February 14, 2022, and the students will be selected in June 2022.
Under the scholarship scheme, around 60 UG students will each receive an award of up to Rs 4 lakh, while approximately 40 PG students receive a grant of up to Rs 6 lakh for the duration of their study.
All first-year UG and PG students are eligible to apply for this scholarship pursuing degree courses in artificial intelligence, computer sciences, mathematics and computing, and electrical and/or electronics engineering.
An online application and interviews with a panel of top Indian and foreign experts are used to choose applicants for the scholarship program. Applicants must complete out personal, educational, and extracurricular information, as well as provide two letters of recommendation and two essays.
Students will also benefit from additional engagement and development activities such as the opportunity to attend seminars and workshops with top international experts, chances to apply for training/internship, volunteer work, a strong alumni connection, and more and will join a vibrant community of scholars who will be at the forefront of developing and building a new India.
The official portal said, “Scholars will also benefit from additional engagement and development activities (including the chance to attend talks and workshops with leading global experts, opportunities to apply for mentoring/internships, volunteering opportunities, a strong alumni network and more), and will join a vibrant community of scholars that will be at the forefront of creating and building a new India”.
Students will be selected on merit, and students from various socioeconomic backgrounds are invited to apply.
76 first-year undergraduate and postgraduate students were given Reliance Foundation scholarships in artificial intelligence (AI) and computer sciences during the inaugural cycle of scholarships, which took place in 2020-21.
