Punjab Scholarship 2021-22: Punjab Government has given its approval to offer the Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme 2021-2022 for Higher Education for all college students.
With this approval, the Punjab Government Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme will offer financial assistance to students from financially poor backgrounds in Punjab state. Under this scholarship, only general category students will receive the chance to get free education.
This new scheme of Punjab Scholarship 2021-22 aims to boost the higher education of students. To support students of general category, the scheme will provide a full fee waiver to students who have secured above 90% scores in their examinations.
Punjab Scholarship 2021: Key Highlights of New Scheme
As per the officials, the Punjab Government’s Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme has an annual financial amount of Rs 36.05 crore which will be used to initiate and manage the scholarship program in the state.

Punjab Scholarship 2021-22: Benefits
While talking about the Punjab Scholarship Scheme amount, the officials added that the program will offer students with scholarship benefits based on their concession in terms of the percentage of fees charged by universities.
Under the scholarship program, students of Punjab state who have secured more than 60% and less than 90% marks will receive a fee waiver of up to 70% on their university fee. As for these, students who secured marks between 70% to 80% will have an 80% fee waiver option.
Similarly, for those securing above 80% and below 90% marks, the Punjab Government will offer them a concession equivalent to 90% of the university fee. While for 90% to 100% marks, students will get a 100% fee waiver.
In case students are already receiving scholarship benefits from any other Punjab Government Scholarship Schemes, they will not be eligible to apply for the scholarship program. More details for the same are now expected to be released on the official website of the state government.
