NIT Surathkal has released the seat matrix for its Direct Admission to Students Abroad (DASA) 2020 spot round admissions. Applicants who have not been allotted seats yet or want an upgrade can register for the spot round on the official website; dasanit.org.
The seat allotment in NIT Surathkal under DASA is done based on the scores of SAT scores. However, from next year, admissions under the DASA scheme will be done based on the scores of JEE Main ranks. Applicants can register for the spot round until 28 November 2020.

DASA is a Government of India scheme for admission of foreign nationals in leading institutes of India such as NITs and IITs. Admission in various UG and PG architecture and engineering programs is offered to applicants with a valid Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) score.
Applicants will need to register for the spot round separately, even if they've registered for the previous rounds. In the spot round, vacant seats will be allotted to candidates. Those who have not been allotted a seat yet can apply.
The applicants who have been allotted seats previously but are not satisfied with their results can also apply for the spot round. However, they will only be able to do so, if they had chosen the option to freeze their seat during the previous round. If an applicant has already reported to the institute, then they can no longer register.

Those who are eligible to appear in the spot round can register for it. Before that, they should see the seat matrix to get an idea of the seats that are still available. They can do so by following these steps.

- Click on it and the seat matrix will be displayed
