New Delhi: NIT Kurukshetra has successfully concluded its annual recruitment drive held at its campus, where a final-year BTech student bagged a lucrative job offer at Microsoft.

Kumud Shandilya, a resident of Bhiwani and a B.Tech student at NIT Kurukshetra has been offered a job worth INR 51 lakh as an annual package for a position at Microsoft. 

According to her father, Praveen Sharma, Kumud is currently pursuing her final year of B.Tech course , as a result, she'll get placed at Microsoft on completion of her degree.

The latest media reports reveal that the highest package offered during NIT Kurukshetra placements 2022 was INR 51 LPA, offered by a leading software company. 

Earlier, during the NIT Kurukshetra B.Tech placements 2021, the highest package and average package were recorded at INR 43.75 LPA and INR 11.37 LPA, respectively. 

Further, only 415 students out of the total 731 students got placed at the NIT Kurukshetra BTech placements 2021.

NIT Kurukshetra NIRF Ranking 2022

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Kurukshetra was ranked among the top 50 engineering schools in the NIRF Rankings 2022. The engineering institute was ranked at 50th position with a total score of 50.11. 

NIT Kurukshetra National Conference 2022 

Recently, the Department of Physics hosted the "10th National Conference on Nanoscience and Instrumentation Technology (NCNIT-2022)" in honour of NIT, Kurukshetra's diamond jubilee. 

Professor Ashavani Kumar, Dr. PK Satyawali, and Dr. SR Vadera spoke about the properties of nanomaterials and how altering such properties can result in the development of technology that might be used to solve problems of daily life and advance civilization. 

According to Dr. B V R Reddy, Director, NIT Kurukshetra, Conferences like this were advantageous as they gave students the chance to interact with scientists. The interaction opened the door for new collaborations and a variety of pathways for pursuing their research. 

Over 100 students and researchers presented their concepts and ideas using a hybrid mode for oral and poster presentations during the two technical sessions.
