NIT Jalandhar Placement 2022: 25 Students Placed with Packages Over INR 25 Lakh

New Delhi: NIT Jalandhar has witnessed an overwhelming placement record with 25 students getting placed with over INR 25 lakh packages. The highest CTC made was from Google with INR 62 LPA.
 

This year in 2022, students from the Computer Science and Engineering Department, of Dr B.R. Ambedkar NIT Jalandhar, has received record-breaking job offers. These job offers came from tech giants in emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning and data science and core computer science and engineering companies. 

Following the data of NIT Jalandhar Placement 2022, Google offered the highest package of Rs 62 lakh to Divyansha Sharma. Whereas Archit Jindal got a package of INR 51 lakh from Microsoft. Brahamleen Kaur got a package of INR 49 lakh, Ritika Goyal INR 48 lakh from Google and Pulkit Sood got a package of INR 45 lakh per annum from Amazon.

25 students from the CSE Department have received over INR 25 lakh per annum pay package. Professor BK Kanaujia, Director, NIT, Jalandhar, congratulated the achievers for making the department and institute proud. All eligible students of the course got placed this year. Most of the students have received multiple job offers with an all-time high average package.

Congratulating the students, Professor Kanaujia said, “The recruitment process is going well across the country and with new highs in placement at NIT Jalandhar. This indicates the faith of tech companies not only in the institute but also the students and their mentors.” He further added that the placements have improved from the previous years.

Students taking admission at NIT Jalandhar also experienced an increase in the number of companies participating in campus placements. Big brands such as Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, Mphasis, Servicenow etc. have visited the campus for recruitment this year.

Professor Kanujia also stated that the institute is now focusing on starting state-of-the-art specialisation courses in emerging areas of computer science and engineering such as sensor networks and Internet of things, data science and machine learning, big data and analytics.

Recruiters like Standard Chartered GBS Pvt Ltd, Microsoft, and American Express offered internships to the students of NIT Jalandhar. According to the placement statistics, a comparison between the placement in 2021 and placement in 2022 can be seen as the following: 

• The number of recruiting companies witnessed a decline of 20% in 2022 when compared to the 2021 placements drive
• As compared to 2021, the lowest salary offered to NIT Jalandhar graduates surged by more than 25% in 2022
• However, the highest salary witnessed only a meagre increase of about 1% in 2022
