Mumbai Private College in Karjat To Add 100 More MBBS Admission Seats: Read Details Here


Mumbai Medical College 2021: Mumbai state's private college in Karjat has recently added one hundred more admission seats for the MBBS program. The admission seats have been added for the upcoming academic session of 2021-2022. 

The 100 MBBS admission seats to the state's private medical college, Dr. N Y Tasgaonkar Institute of Medical Science on Bhivpuri Road, Karjati have been added after receiving approval for the same from National Medical Commission (NMC). 

With this approval of the National Medical Commission, the Mumbai State will now have a total of 2,,420 medical admission seats in its private medical colleges. The admission for the same will commence from academic session 2021-2022.

As of now, the Mumbai state private and government medical colleges have about 6,950 admission seats for MBBS Program 2021 for the 2021 session. The state is now waiting for the government’s approval on 250 more medical admission seats. 

Referring to the data, the Medical Assessment and Rating Board of NMC expert committee’s official report stated that before approving the admission seats, the commission reviewed the college facilities, infrastructure among others. 

Dean Dr. Vinayak Sabnis added that the fee of medical colleges has now yet been determined by the admission authorities. More details for the same are expected to be released soon for all interested and eligible candidates to check.

As per the MBBS Seats in Maharashtra 2021, the 85% admission seats offered by the state for medical students are offered to state quota students, while the remaining 15% seats are reserved for All India Students. 

As for reservation for MBBS admission seats in Maharashtra, the state offers a 70% Regional Quota which is further divided into women quota and constitutional quota. Furthermore, admission seats are also reserved for SC, ST, and other category candidates in the states. 

Earlier, various Mumbai state colleges and universities have started the admission process for the 2021 session for all interested and eligible candidates. The admission began from various undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma courses.
