Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia met with a British Education team led by Mike Freer, Minister of International Trade UK, and Prof. Sir Steve Smith during a three-day education summit in Dubai, to discuss education objectives and opportunities in the UK-Delhi bilateral partnership.
Manish Sisodia tweeted, "We agreed to work on more engaging programs where Delhi & UK can work together on education reforms including joint research programs in universities and teachers training. The UK is keen to understand and learn from the Happiness Curriculum and Business Blaster programs of Delhi govt".
Manish Sisodia, who also serves as the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, will attend a three-day education summit where he will meet education ministers from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Italy.
He will also discuss the Delhi government's educational efforts, such as the happiness, Desh bhakti, and entrepreneurship mindset curriculum.
Other global leaders will join the deputy chief minister to debate the need for educational reform. According to the release, Education Minister Leena Kersen of Estonia, which has been granted a top place in the PISA rating in the sector of education, will take part in the debate.
Patrizio Biamenti, the Italian Minister of Education, Jamila Mahi, the UAE Minister of State for Public Education, Mohammed Al-Sudarei, and Bangladesh's Education Minister Deepu Moni MP will also meet Sisodia.
”He will share with academicians, institutions, bureaucrats and politicians from all across the world, the Mindset Curriculums introduced by the Delhi government to develop a growth mindset in children which is adopted by Delhi’s education model to ensure that children studying in schools become global citizens and world leaders," the official statement added further.
The summit is organised by Dubai Cares in collaboration with Expo-2020 Dubai with the goal of discussing educational innovations and the future of education.
