According to the meeting conducted by Vice Chancellors, the Karnataka colleges will reopen from October 4, 2021 for the academic session 2021-22. The classes will be conducted six days a week and there will be no semester breaks
Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and Higher Education Minister CN Ashwath Narayanwho said that the draft calendar of events has been composed for the academic year 2020-21 and 2021-22 keeping in mind the COVID-19 situation.

The Vice-Chancellors also expressed that it will at least take two years for all the Karnataka Universities to get back to the pre-COVID schedule.
While preparing the draft calendar, the stipulation of UGC of 90 working days in a semester was also considered.
He also informed that for the Universities in Hyderabad, Karnataka that experience hot summers they may advance the dates. However, the draft is yet to be finalised after receiving feedback from all the stakeholders.
According to the draft released, the UG fifth semester exams will end by March 31, 2021 and the classes for sixth semester will start from April 1, 2021. Check the upcoming important events and dates from table below:

The exams for semester 1, 3 and 5 will conclude by February 28, 2021 and classes will start from the next day.

Karnataka Engineering Exams
Whereas the examinations for semester 2, 4, and 6 will end by July 31, 2021. The engineering semester seven exams will conclude by March 31, 2021 and semester eight exams will start from April 1, 2021. The result of semester 8 will be out by September 10, 2021.
Karnataka Postgraduate Exams
The PG first semester will end by April 30, 2021 and second semester will start from May 2, 2021. The PG semester 3 exams will conclude by March 31, 2021 and the next semester will start from April 1, 2021.
