New Delhi: Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is all set to launch its admission portal for the undergraduate admissions for the academic session 2022-23.

JNU To Launch Admission Portal Soon; Details Here

The JNU admission portal is open to applicants who took the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduates (CUET UG) 2022 and selected JNU as their preferred choice.

This year, the varsity is considering the scores of the CUET-UG 2022 scores for admissions to the UG courses. Candidates can visit JNU's official website, jnu.ac.in to know more about the admission process.

According to a notice from the JNU Deputy Registrar for Admission, Jagdish Singh, the Consequent upon the declaration of CUET UG 2022 by NTA, the admission branch is processing data, details of candidates provided by the NTA.

As a result, the university will shortly open the JNU Admission Portal for candidates seeking admission in JNU in order for them to fill out application forms by paying processing fees.

The merit list generated using the normalised NTA score will be used to determine admission to JNU. The NTA administered the CUET-UG 2022 entrance exam to admit prospective applicants to 90 core universities.

These universities will utilize the candidates' normalised NTA scores to create the CUET UG 2022 rank lists

The senior NTA official said that the participating universities will prepare the merit lists and will decide about the candidates' individual counselling on the basis of the CUET-UG score card.

The NTA has shared the result of candidates with participating universities where the candidates had applied. The Delhi University (DU) has already launched the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) 2022 application portal on September 12.

Interested candidates can apply for DU admission in undergraduate (UG) programmes on the official website- admission.uod.ac.in.

The NTA has released the candidates' results with the participating universities where the candidates had applied.

Recently, on September 12, the university opened the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) 2022 application portal to make the DU admission process easier.

There will be 3 stages involved in the admission process using the CSAS, that is the submission of the CSAS-2022 application form, selecting programmes and entering preferences, and seat allocation and admission.

There will be over 70,000 seats available annually through the DU admissions procedure by 2022 in 91 central universities. Only the candidates who have achieved the DU initial cut off 2022 will be taken into consideration for admission to the undergraduate programme in their desired college.

Meanwhile, a section of students and teachers of JNU has opposed using CUET UG 2022 for admissions stating that the multiple choice questions (MCQ)-based exam is insufficient to assess applicants seeking admission for a range of programmes.

With the JNU Students’ Union (JNUSU) opposing the implementation of CUET for JNU admissions, several teachers mentioned that the one-size-fits-all approach is unsuited for a university like JNU offering a number of unique interdisciplinary programmes.
