JNU CUET PG 2022: Registration Starts; Exam to be Held in July; Check Steps to Apply

New Delhi: Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has announced to use CUET PG 2022 score for admission to its postgraduate courses and advanced diplomas of proficiency for this academic session. The university has specifically stated that 100% weightage will be given to scores obtained in specific domains in CUET PG papers.

CUET PG 2022 application process for JNU has commenced on Thursday, May 19, 2022. Candidates interested in applying for the PG entrance exam can do so till June 18, 2022.

“Students not appearing in the prescribed subjects or tests shall not be admitted to these programmes. Admissions to these programmes shall be based on the performance of the candidates in CUET (PG) 2022 as well as the deprivation points earned by the eligible candidates together,” the university said.

Applicants are rewarded with deprivation points from a list of districts based on rate of female illiteracy, agricultural workers, rural population and households having number toilets within the premises. As per JNU, all female and transgender candidates are also eligible for deprivation points.

The notice was released after the announcement of University Grant Commission (UGC). ''Entrance Test (CUET) PG-2022 to be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). The eligibility criteria and other details related to PG & ADOP programmes (Academic Session 2022-23) are mentioned in the JNU E-Prospectus. The E-Prospectus is available on www.jnu.ac.in," the notification read.

The UGC chairman Jagadesh Kumar on Thursday said that the CUET for PG admissions will also be introduced from the 2022 academic session."The exam will be conducted in the third week of July and the application process will begin today and will conclude on June 18”, he added.

The NTA will conduct the Postgraduate Entrance Test for 42 central and participating universities for the academic session 2022-2023. CUET will provide a single window opportunity to students to seek JNU Admission 2022 in participating universities across the country.

Step 1: Visit the official website of CUET (PG) 2022 – cuet.nta.nic.in.

Step 2: Candidates are required to read the instructions and then click in the agreement checkbox.

Step 3: Next, click on the ‘Click Here to Proceed’ tab.

Step 4: Candidates are now required to fill in the personal details such as- Candidate name, Parents’ name, Date of birth, Gender, Nationality, Identity type, Mobile number, Present and permanent address.

Step 5: Now, select a password, security question and enter the captcha

Step 6: Log in with the credentials to fill in the application form.

Step 7: Next, fill in the personal details.

Step 8: Select your Paper and Exam Centre, City.

Step 9: Fill in the academic details.

Step 10: Upload the photograph and signature in the specified size and format.

Step 11: Pay the application fee online through Credit/Debit Card, Netbanking and UPI.
