IIT Roorkee to Host its 22nd Convocation on April 6; Check Details Here

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee is preparing to organise its 22nd Convocation Ceremony on April 6, 2023. Minister of Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Dharmendra Pradhan will join the event as a chief guest.

As per IIT Roorkee, the institute will award a total of 2,022 students undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level degrees across 26 departments/centres during the event. Out of these, students will receive a total of 1,005 UG, 638 PG and 379 Doctoral degrees. 

Informing about the event, the Director of IIT Roorkee, Prof KK Pant said, “We are looking forward to welcoming the Minister of Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Dharmendra Pradhan as the chief guest on this occasion”.

“A convocation is a solemn occasion that brings a smile to every graduating student and their family. We have always guided and supported the students in their endeavours. I congratulate the graduating students and wish them all the best in their future endeavours”, he further added. 

The IIT Roorkee 22nd Convocation ceremony will start at 10 am on the campus ground on April 06, 2023 in the presence of Prof KK Pant, Director, IIT Roorkee. On this occasion, Prof KK Pant will present the Director’s Report and award students with degrees. 

After which, Chief Guest Dharmendra Pradhan will present the Institute Level Awards to students, followed by the address of the Chairman, BoG, BVR Mohan Reddy. A total of 125 awards will be conferred upon meritorious students in UG and PG programs during the convocation. 

In other news, IIT Roorkee has extended the last date to apply for IIT Roorkee MTech VLSI Admission 2023 process till April 06, 2023. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the admission process by submitting their applications on the official website at iitr.ac.in.

To be eligible for admission to IIT Roorkee MTech VLSI Program 2023, candidates need to have B.E/ B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering with at least 60% marks in aggregate. Those who do not meet the criteria will not be considered for admission seats.
