IIT Patna Signs MoU with University of Newcastle, UK for Joint Research; Details Here


The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Patna and the University of Newcastle, UK have signed an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) for joint research in emerging areas and fields.

The main objective of this collaboration is to support the engagement of researchers from both institutions which will further help them to promote joint research in emerging areas. 

These co-operative research activities will also promote the exchange of research programs through which both students and faculty would be benefited from the latest developments in various disciplines. IIT Patna and Newcastle University will also encourage direct co-operation and contact between their administrative staff, departments and faculty members.

IIT Patna, Courses and Fees

The MOU will benefit both the institutes to conduct Student exchange, Joint research activities, Staff Visits, Joint conferences, Interchange of students and faculty for research, teaching and discussions on the subjects of mutual interest. From Newcastle University; the Faculty of Agriculture, Science and Engineering departments have been included for involvement under this memorandum.

For successful implementation of these activities both the institutes will develop specific details mutually for all the projects. Such activities will give new opportunities to the students, scholars and faculty members to carry out projects/research in the emerging areas of engineering which will also be helpful to develop advanced applications.
