IIT Palakkad Collaborates with UiA Norway to offer Exchange Programs and Joint Degree Programs: Read Here

New Delhi: IIT Palakkad has recently joined hands with the University of Agder (UiA), Norway to offer various exchange programs, joint degree programs, and to offer research opportunities to scholars. 

As per IIT Palakkad, the memorandum of understanding, MoU with the University of Agder (UiA), Norway was signed on the campus ground on April 07, 2022, at the IIT Palakkad campus ground. 

Under this collaboration, the Indian Institute of Technology, Palakkad, and the University of Agder will work jointly to offer various exchange programs. Students will have the opportunity to learn from experienced faculty members of both universities through the joint degree programs.

Talking about this initiative, IIT Palakkad officially tweeted, “An MoU has been signed on 07 April 2022, at IIT Palakkad, to consider research scholars and faculty mobility programs, exchange programs, and joint degree programs. @PalakkadIIT @AgderUniversity”.

Earlier, in February 2022, the IIT Palakkad collaborated with West partners to set up the MedTech Research Center of Excellence. The collaboration was done between the institute's technology innovation foundation TECHIN and West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. (West). 

Through this collaboration, the institute aims to develop a MedTech Research Centre of Excellence, which will offer various healthcare and medical technology facilities by creating an ecosystem of universities, hospitals, and industry to support local entrepreneurship. 

Referring to the collaboration, Anoop Madhusudanan, vice-president of Digital Marketing and Digital Platforms at West, said, “At West, we believe in continuously pushing the boundaries of innovation to provide the best healthcare and medicinal support to the patient. And with this partnership, we envision moving closer to our goal.”

In other news, IIT Palakkad has started the admission process for its MS and Ph.D. Programs for the academic session 2022. Students who wish to apply for IIT Palakkad MS, Ph.D. Admission 2022 process can now do so by submitting their applications before April 30, 2022.
