New Delhi: IIT Kharagpur AI Centre of Excellence has recently entered into a two-year collaboration with Goldman Sachs to develop AI techniques and solutions for the benefit of various companies.
Under this collaboration, IIT Kharagpur and Goldman Sachs will jointly work towards developing various deep learning techniques to help various companies globally. The alliance will identify key narratives and work on finding solutions to various industry problems.
As per the officials, both parties will work towards producing training systems to automatically read & summarize financial documents, forecasting potential global events, and other discoveries that will help various enterprises.
Referring to the key highlights of collaboration, Gunjan Samtani, Head of Goldman Sachs Services India, said, “Goldman Sachs Bengaluru and Hyderabad are integral to the firm’s evolution as a digital enterprise of the future, leveraging emerging technologies to augment our businesses".
"We are pleased to partner with the Centre for Artificial Intelligence, IIT Kharagpur in developing Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing techniques that can provide solutions in a variety of important business use cases in financial services," she said.
Adding to the statement, the Head of Goldman Sachs Services India stated that the Industry-academia partnerships with one of the leading institutes in the country will help in driving transformation.
In other initiatives, the IIT Kharagpur's Centre for Excellence in Advanced Manufacturing Technology has released an IITK Industrial Robots Short Term Course 2022. The course will introduce participants to Robot-programming and Robotic Language on the campus ground.
The IIT Kharagpur Course was released to make students familiar with the new technology and increase the workforce in the domain. The course is offered for a duration of 6 days and the classes for the same will now commence from January 17 to January 22, 2022.
Candidates who are interested in the program can submit their applications for the same under IIT Kharagpur Admission 2022 session at https://erp.iitkgp.ac.in/CEP/courses.htm. The application window for eligible candidates will be open till January 15, 2022 (today).
