IIT Jodhpur BTech Course 2021: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur has launched a B.Tech program with a flexible academic structure which will be offered from the academic session 2021-2022.
Under the IIT Jodhpur's newly launched B.Tech program, students will be offered with a designed academic structure through which they can design a program based on their interests.
The main reason for introducing this new IIT Jodhpur B.Tech Program 2021 is to offer flexibility to students and develop interdisciplinary skills in “future technocrats". The B.Tech program will be taught by experienced faculty members of the institute.
IIT Jodhpur stated, “The flexible academic structure allows students to opt for a BTech in Engineering Science as an informed choice after completing the primary 12 months [of] research”.
“Each student can design a program of his own in consultation with a faculty mentor to meet personal preferences and get trained for unique graduate outcomes in alignment with emerging industrial or research trends” the official statement further added.
Adding to the statement, the IIT Jodhpur officials stated that the flexible structure of the course will offer a broader foundation to students in emerging technologies. Candidates will also have the option to attend a second degree in Engineering Science program with the B.Tech program.
This B.Tech program will be available in eight different specializations, including Bioengineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Computer Science and Engineering.
Additionally, students will have the option to choose Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil and Infrastructure Engineering under the B.Tech program. The program will focus on providing a broader approach to course concepts to students.
While talking about the program, Professor Santanu Chaudhury, Director, said, “IIT Jodhpur is committed to delivering a future-focused educational experience to our undergraduate students who are expected to be critical thinkers, innovators, and future leaders of technology”.
He further added that the B.Tech program of IIT Jodhpur will offer a highly professional curriculum and various opportunities for a multidisciplinary exploration of engineering problems in teams.
