New Delhi: IIT Hyderabad in collaboration with the Basavatakaram Indo American Most cancers Hospital and Research Institute is soon planning to provide a Master's degree in medical and radiation physics.
An MoU has been inked between the two institutions for a collaborative master's programme. The concept of physics is intended to be studied by students for the treatment and diagnosis of human disease.
Dr Prabhakar Rao, chief govt officer of Basavatakaram hospital stated, “Every cancers hospital requires experts into radiation. Such courses will create of a pool of professionals who can guide the oncologists to plan radiation, assure the quality of therapy, work on technology”.
According to the discussion, the program will be of three years, with two years of theory taught at IIT Hyderabad and a year of practicals in a cancer hospital.
IIT Hyderabad M.Sc Programme: Eligibility & Selection Criteria
To apply for an M.Sc degree in IIT Hyderabad one need to check the below points:
- Students need to appear in IIT JAM to secure a seat for M.Sc
- A B.Sc degree or equivalent with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST) or CGPA of 6 (5.5 for SC/ST) is needed.
Additionally, IIT Hyderabad also provides Master's degree in Engineering, IT & Software, Mathematics, Chemistry and others.
Earlier, IIT Hyderabad has collaborated with Cyient, a global engineering, manufacturing, and digital technology solutions company, to launch a private 5G Networks Center of Excellence (CoE).
As a part of the collaboration, the Cyient has inked an MoU with IIT Hyderabad as a research partner for the CoE, which will be located in Cyient's facility in Hyderabad.
The Centre for Excellence, COE will combine Cyient's enterprise and network experience with the institute's research and tech expertise to develop and test private 5G network solutions.
