IIT Hyderabad to Host 14th Edition of Annual Techno Cultural Fest from Feb 17

New Delhi: IIT Hyderabad will organise the three-day annual techno-cultural event Elan and Vision, with the theme "Secrets of Valenrow," from February 17, 2023. This year's social cause subject is "Ikshana - Save Animals," and the theme of the 14th edition of the yearly event is "Secrets of Valenrow".

As per IIT Hyderabad, the first of several performances by Anand Bhaskar Collective, an Indian indie band commonly known as "ABC" or "The Collective," will be given on the first day of the festival, which will mark the 14th iteration of the event's celebrity presence.

In addition to this, Aashish Solanki, the season 3 winner of Comicstaan, singer and composer Gajendra Verma, and DJ Shaan will also perform at the annual fest. Along with several performances and fun activities, this festival will give an opportunity to bond with like-minded people.

IIT Hyderabad Director Prof. BS Murty stated that the festival, which highlights the ability and creativity of young people from all over India, has evolved into a venue for them to display their abilities and engage in conversation with people who share their interests.

In other news, IIT Hyderabad had just introduced the first computational engineering BTech program in India. Those who will enrol in this program will have an opportunity to learn high-performance computing, modelling, and simulation of engineering systems and processes skills. 

The course curriculum of India's first computational engineering BTech program will include topics like modern numerical techniques and algorithms, process control and optimization, data analytics, and machine learning will also be covered.

Informing about the program, the officials shared that JEE Advanced marks will be used as a criterion for the BTech computational engineering admission process. Interested candidates must have completed Class 12 or an equivalent exam from a recognised exam board to be eligible for admission.
