IIT Hyderabad M.Des 2022: Admission Portal Open till April 3

New Delhi: IIT Hyderabad M.Des admissions have started for the academic year 2022-2023. Interested candidates can apply for regular programs, Master of Design (M.Des) and M.Des by Practice till April 3, 2022.

IIT Hyderabad offers a two-year full-time M.Des program which is funded by MHRD. The course provides a broad understanding of design along with student-driven specialization in varied domains like Visual Communication, Moving Images, Interaction Design, Product Design, and Photography.

IIT Hyderabad M.Des Admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria 

Students taking admission in IIT Hyderabad M.Des have to fulfill certain eligibility criteria:

• Minimum of 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST) or equivalent grades in any of the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Architecture/ Design/ Interior Design or equivalent.
  • Professional Diploma in Design 
  • Professional experience Master degree in Arts/ Science / Computer Applications (2-year program after 10+2+3).
  • BFA (4 year professional programme after 10+2)
• Students should have a valid CEED score. However for M.Des by Practice, CEED score is not mandatory. 

IIT Hyderabad M.Des Admission 2022: How to Apply?

To take admission in IIT Hyderabad  for M.Des course students have to follow the below given steps:

• Visit the official website of IIT Hyderabad. 
• Choose the programme option. 
• Select the program and enter on it. 
• Select the course and channel of applying. 
• Select the application link.
• Students have to register themselves as new users with email and password.
• Login with registered Id.
• Attach the photograph with a signature on the form.
• Submit the form and pay the application fee online debit/credit/ net banking.

 IIT Hyderabad MDes Admission 2022: Selection Criteria 

• M.Des: 
  • Shortlisting for Design Aptitude Test (DAT) will be based on CEED score. Based on DAT, candidates will be shortlisted for Personal Interview. 
  • Final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in DAT, Personal Interview, Academic Performance and Design Portfolio. 
  • For the Self-sponsored category, CEED is not mandatory. However, students should fulfill other eligibility criteria required for admission.
• M.Des by Practice: Applicants need to take a Design Aptitude Test (DAT) followed by an interview and Portfolio review.
