IIT Guwahati Launches PG Certificate Programmes in Cybersecurity, AI and Deep Learning; Check Course Details Here

IIT Guwahati has launched Postgraduate Certificate Programmes in Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning in collaboration with Times Professional Learning. The courses can be completed within a short duration of 8-9 months. 

In order to offer this newly launched PG certificate course, IIT Guwahati has signed an agreement with Times Professional Learning. These programmes are intended to provide career enhancement and skill upgradation for working professionals according to the requirements of industry and the corporate world.

IIT Guwahati PG Certificate Programmes 2022: Highlights 

IIT Guwahati PG Certificate in Cybersecurity 

The postgraduate certificate programme in cybersecurity is an eight months course. It aims to provide requisite skills for roles such as cybersecurity architects, cyber security manager, network security specialist, cyber security analyst, and leading up to C-suite positions such as chief information security officer.

IIT Guwahati PG Certificate in AI & Deep Learning 

The postgraduate certificate programme in Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning will be conducted for a duration of nine-month course. It will provide candidates an insight and detailed understanding of AI and Deep Learning through a comprehensive curriculum.

The curriculum of IIT Guwahati course will mainly focus on fundamental and advanced learning through subjects like data analytics, neural networks, python programming, computer vision, and image recognition, etc.

The certificate course in Artificial Intelligence and deep learning will assist candidates prepare for competitive and cutting-edge job roles such as AI and ML Engineer, cloud support engineer, computer vision expert, software R&D engineer, etc.

IIT Guwahati PG Certificate Programme 2022: Eligibility Criteria 

Candidates interested in applying for the postgraduate certificate programme in Artificial Intelligence and deep learning or Cybersecurity must fulfil the eligibility requirements which are mentioned below. 

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks with a minimum of two years of work experience in IT or software development are eligible for the courses. 

Upon successful completion of the course, the participants will receive certificates issued by the IIT Guwahati and Times TSW. 

The top experts from IIT Guwahati and Times TSW along with the industry experts will deliver the course and offer live instructor-led sessions on the weekends. 

Students will also get an opportunity to participate in a Capstone project where they will have to demonstrate the skills they have acquired by solving real-world business problems. This will also include a five-day immersive learning experience at the IIT Guwahati campus.

Speaking on the importance of skill upgradation in the domain of cybersecurity and AI, T G Sitharam, director, IIT Guwahati, said that the institute's collaboration with TimesTSW for the certificate programmes will meet the requirements in AI and Cybersecurity sectors. 

The course curriculum of these certificate programs is meticulously designed and developed with foundational and advanced subjects to provide the participants with extensive knowledge leading across these specialised domains conforming to industry requirements. 

Further, these certificate programmes will enable the professionals to upgrade their skills, knowledge about evolving technologies and upscale in their career graph, Sitharam concluded. 

Recently, IIT Guwahati started admissions in the new School of Business. The IIT Guwahati School of Business has started receiving applications for its flagship program namely, Masters of Business Administration (MBA), on its official website, iitg.ac.in/sob.

IIT Guwahati admission process for the first batch of MBA programs was scheduled to start in January 2022.
