IIT Gandhinagar MSc, MTech, PhD Admission 2023-24 Open; Last Date to Apply is February 9

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology, (IIT Gandhinagar) has begun the application process for the MSc, MTech, PhD programme for the academic session 2023-24. Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form through the official portal, @https://iitgn.ac.in/.

IIT Gandhinagar  offers early admission to the MSc, MTech, PhD programmes for the semester beginning in July 2023. The MSc programme is offered in specializations including Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidates seeking admission to the MSc, MTech, PhD programme can submit their applications till February 9, 2023. 

Admission to the MSc, MTech, PhD programme will be mainly based on academic credentials, written test and/or interview. The interview is scheduled to be held online between February 17 and 23, 2023.

IIT Gandhinagar MSc, MTech, PhD Admission 2023-24: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the IIT Gandhinagar programmes will have to fulfil the requisite eligibility criteria. 

MSc: 

• Students pursuing BSc from select colleges who will graduate in 2023 and are among the top 5 rank holders in the departments at the end of their pre-final year for candidates from General/ EWS/ OBC OR top 10 rank holders in the departments at the end of their pre-final year for candidates from SC/ST categories are eligible to apply.
• Students pursuing BTech from NITs and select colleges who will graduate in 2023 and are among the top 5 rank holders in the departments at the end of their pre-final year for candidates from General/EWS/OBC OR top 10 rand holders in the departments at the end of their pre-final year for candidates from SC/ST categories are eligible to apply.
• BTech students from IITs who will graduate in 2023 with a CPI/CGPA of not less than 6.0 at the end of their 3rd year are eligible to apply 

PhD & MTech: 

• BTech students from NITs and select colleges who will graduate in 2023 and are among the top 5 rank holders in the departments at the end of their pre-final year for candidates from General/ EWS/ OBC OR top 10 rank holders in the departments at the end of their pre-final year for candidates from SC/ST categories are eligible to apply.
• BTech students from IITs who will graduate in 2023 with a CPI/CGPA of not less than 6.0 at the end of their 3rd year are eligible to apply.
• GATE qualification not required for PhD Admissions. However, Candidates are encouraged to appear for GATE for an enhanced stipend rate.

Candidate's selection to the MSc, MTech, and PhD programmes will be as follows: 

• Admissions to the MSc, MTech, and PhD programmes are generally offered on the basis of an interview, which is supplemented by a written test if necessary.
• The final selection will be mainly based on academic credentials, written test and/or interview.
• The reserved category candidates will be given due relaxation in cutoff marks as per the norms.

Step 1: Visit the official application portal of IIT Gandhinagar @https://iitgn.ac.in/. 

Step 2: Register yourself after filling the required details, such as Mobile number, Email Id etc.

Step 3: Now, login with your registration credentials and fill all details in the Application form.

Step 4: Pay the application fee and submit the Application form. 

Step 5: Applicants must also take a print out of the form for all future needs.
