New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology, (IIT Gandhinagar) has begun the application process for the M.Sc & MA programme for the academic session 2023-24. Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form through the official portal, @https://iitgn.ac.in/.
IIT Gandhinagar offers admission to the M.Sc & MA programmes for the semester beginning in July 2023. The MA programme is offered in Society and Culture, whereas M.Sc. degree is offered in Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Cognitive Science. Candidates seeking admission to the M.Sc & MA programme can submit their applications till January 25, 2023.
Admission to the M.Sc & MA programme will be mainly based on academic credentials, written test and/or interview. The interview is scheduled to be held online between March 18 and 19, 2023.

Candidate's admission to the MSc Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics disciplines is done through the Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. while admission to the Cognitive Science program is through the Institute's own written test and interview process.
IIT Gandhinagar M.Sc & MA Admission 2023-24: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates seeking admission to the IIT Gandhinagar programmes will have to fulfil the requisite eligibility criteria.
MA:
- Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent CPI/GPA).
- Meeting the minimum application criterion will not guarantee admission to the program.
- The students who are awaiting final semester/year results and those who would be completing a Bachelor’s degree in the current year are also eligible to apply.
- Eligibility requirements for SC/ST/OBC candidates will be in accordance with the Supreme Court guidelines.
MSc & MSc Cognitive Science:
- Students who have a bachelor’s degree (e.g. BA, BSc, BTech, BCom, MBBS) in any discipline with a minimum of 55% (5.5 CGPA for students with letter grades/CGPA) aggregate marks for General/OBC category candidates and at least 50% (5.0 CGPA for students with letter grades/CGPA) aggregate marks for SC, ST and PD category candidates in the qualifying degree, are eligible to apply for admission to the Master’s program in Cognitive Science.
- Students who would be completing their bachelor’s degree in the current academic year are also eligible to apply.
IIT Gandhinagar M.Sc & MA Admission 2023-24: Selection Process
Candidate's selection to the MSc, MTech, and PhD programmes will be as follows:
- Admission to MA in Society and Culture and MSc will be done based on entrance tests and interviews.
- The shortlisting of the applications will be based on the overall credentials (marks in the bachelor’s program, academic achievements, aptitude for studying society and culture, etc.).
- The short-listing of the applications is based on the overall credentials (marks in the qualifying examinations, academic achievements and aptitude for cognitive science.

Step 2: Register yourself after filling the required details, such as Mobile number, Email Id etc.
