IIT Bombay Signs MOU with Microsoft to Empower Startups; Check Details Here

New Delhi: In order to encourage and assist start-ups, Microsoft and the Institute of Indian Technology (IIT) inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) today. Microsoft and the umbrella organisation of IIT Bombay, the Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, have developed this partnership (SINE).

As part of this partnership, SINE and Microsoft will look into ways to give entrepreneurs at SINE access to Microsoft software and services, as well as resources like GitHub and M365, training on Azure, and mentor networks.

Students at IIT Bombay will get access to Microsoft's top executives as well as Microsoft Valuable Professionals (MVP), Azure Influencers, and startup founders through this alliance.

The two institutes will also collaborate to choose and accept startups into Founder's Hub. These startups will have the chance to participate in Microsoft's continuing developer initiatives like the Azure Developer League, Azure Blogathon, Hackathons, Open Hacks, and Imagine Cup as well as the Azure community programme.

"With more and more attention turning to cloud-based technology solutions across various industries, Microsoft's history and experience as the top global technology company will undoubtedly benefit our startups, and we hope they can fully capitalise on this partnership," said Poyni Bhat, CEO of SINE.
