IIT Bombay Phase I Placement Drive Concluded, Highest Salary Package Stood at INR 3.67 Crore


New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Bombay) has successfully concluded phase 1 of its campus placement drive for session 2022-23. For this year, the institute has recorded an all-time high of job offers with the highest salary package of up to INR 3.67 Crore. 

As per IIT Bombay, a total of 1413 students who participated in the placement drive have been placed in 293 companies around the world. Out of the total offers made, 63 offers were made by international recruiters, of which 25 were above INR 1 crore per annum. 

At the beginning of the placement session, students received 71 international offers on the campus ground, out of which 1224 offers, including 63 overseas offers, were accepted by students. Offers were made by American Express, TSMC, Honda Japan, Morgan Stanley, Sprinklr, Reliance, Adani, and Tata among other recruiters. 

Informing about IIT Bombay Placement 2022 drive, the officials stated that phase 1 of placements was conducted till December 15, 2022. According to government data, the institute has recorded an increase in the number of offers made from private equity firms for this session.

The domestic highest annual package is recorded at Rs 1.31 crore and the highest international package stood at Rs 3.67 crore. Following the data, the average annual salary for Phase I is Rs 23.26 lakh (CTC basis). Some of the leading private equity firms who visited the campus this year included GIC Singapore, Bain Capital, and Elevation Capital. 

All of the students attended interviews from the same area in order to make placements less challenging, regardless of whether the companies used a hybrid model, a remote interviewing strategy, or in-person interviews. Interviews were done every day by various recruiters who visited the campus drive.
