IIT Bombay Placement 2022: 1878 Offers Received, Highest CTC Stood at INR 1.8 Crore


New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has successfully concluded its placement drive with a highest domestic salary (CTC) at INR 1.8 Crore and a mean salary package of INR 22.7 lakh per annum for session 2022-23.

As per IIT Bombay, the placement drive was conducted for a total of 2,056 graduating students out of which 1,431 candidates have accepted the job offers. Students have received about 66 international job offers from top recruiters from around the world. 

The placement was conducted in two phases: phase one in December and second phase between January and June. During the session, over 332 recruiters have visited the campus, which includes companies from India and countries like US, Japan, UAE, Singapore, Netherlands, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

Following the IIT Bombay Placement 2022 data, the institute has recorded an increase in students who have accepted job offers from last year’s data. For the last session, 1,150 students were offered placement packages, which has increased to 1,431 students for 2022.

The annual report by IIT B stated that "It has achieved the highest ever the number of students placed this year with the total number of accepted offers being 1,441 as of May 15, 2022, compared to 1,150 recorded the year before”.

Students of IT and software departments were offered top placement offers in the field of software programming, digital, algorithmic trading programming, data scientist, networks, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and machine learning.

In addition to this, over 437 engineering and technology students were offered jobs internationally at the entry level. Offers were made for profiles of aerospace, artificial intelligence, automation, electric vehicles, oil and gas, chemicals, robotics, etc.
