IIM Udaipur Hosts its Eighth Management Fest “Solaris”

New Delhi: IIM Udaipur has recently conducted its eighth edition of Solaris, the college's yearly management festival. The IIMU students were responsible for organising it.

Solaris was established by IIM Udaipur with the goal of facilitating student interactions with business leaders as well as allowing students to learn from their knowledge and experience in the fields they work in. The theme of Solaris for this year was 'Alchemizing Innovations.'

The leadership summit, which is Solaris' signature event, kicked off the first day of the management fest on October 29 and 30, 2022. The CEOs of various successful companies, including Ashok Leyland and Madura Fashion and Lifestyle, spoke to the community and assisted students in gaining insight through their varied experiences in their field.

The Anveshan Summit, which was followed by the Leadership Summit, featured speakers like Sachin Pai, Nagendhran Rangarajan, and Gopalan Oppiliappan and covered topics like sustainability, blockchain technology, and cutting-edge AI strategies employed in contemporary enterprises.

Samvadya, the Consulting Summit, which featured Rahul Gosain, Brajesh Singh, and Rajeev Sharma and shared their knowledge and experience with the students, brought the day to an end.

The second day of Solaris 2022 began with the Antardrishti Economics Summit, which featured speakers from organisations like Razorpay, The World Bank, and Diversey. They discussed the Indian economy and how well-positioned it is to weather challenging global economic headwinds.

The speakers at the Operations Summit, Unmesh, which followed, spoke on the value of supply chain management in challenging times and how the business community adjusted to the new normal by improving its operations.

This was followed by Samvaah, the Annual Marketing Conclave of Solaris 2022, where it was addressed how important it is to examine quantitative data with empathy in order to better understand the wants and desires of consumers.

With hosts from DCB Bank, Microsoft, and Patanjali, the day's concluding session, Arth-Samvaad, the Finance Symposium of Solaris 2022, closed with a discussion of various capital budgeting considerations and how technology plays a crucial role in the same.

Being CFOs of their organisations, they also provided some insight into the position to pique students' interest in the discipline of finance.

The Ingenium, Mantravat, HRidya, VittSangram, The Ultimate Statement, ArthAarth, Auctionnaire, Marcwars, Iconic Scenes, Zeitgeist, KaroVyapar, Econ Writing, Saudagar, BizViz, Mind-Wizz, BrAIniac, OpsEnigma, and OpsSamasya were among the student-focused events and competitions included in Solaris, which was sponsored by Secure Meters.

These fascinating and dynamic activities forced the students to think quickly and creatively as they competed against one another in simulations of real-world scenarios.

Some of the well-known companies, such as Pandora Grand, Season's Park, Central Bank of India, Choudhary Offset (printing partner), Sau Groups (merchandising partner), and Choudhary Offset (banking partner), are also supporting Solaris 2022.
