New Delhi: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Shillong has completed the campus placement drive for the 14th batch of Postgraduate programs in Management with highest CTC at INR 71.30 LPA. The offers were made by 63 recruiters, including 26 new recruiters. 

As per IIM Shillong, the PGP graduating class of 2021-23 secured an average salary of Rs. 26.96 LPA, which is a 16.70 per cent increase from the previous year. A total of 238 students were placed during the campus recruitment drive.

Following the placement data, students received job offers in a variety of fields, such as Consulting & Strategy, Finance, General Management, Human Resources & Operations, IT & Analytics, and Sales & Marketing among others. 

The class had a balanced gender distribution, having 45% girls and 55% male students. The placement data showed a slow but steady rise, with gains in every category. Due to its high median CTC of INR 26.09 LPA, IIM Shillong is preferred among prestigious universities.

The average CTC for the top 20% of students stood at INR 35.35 LPA, while the average CTC for the top 50% was INR 30.82 LPA. Offers were made by top recruiters such as Aditya Birla Capital, Axis Bank, Bain & Company, Capgemini, Cipla and Deloitte USI among others.

In addition to this, JP Morgan Chase & Co., Mahindra Logistics, Microsoft, Nomura Investment Bank, Pidilite Industries, StateStreet, Tata AIG, TATA Steel, Titan, TresVista and WNS were also some of the prominent employers.

IIM Shillong Placement 2023 Sector Wise Offers

This year, a total of 85 Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) were made to PGP students by AB InBev, Amagi, Bain & Company, Cipla, DE Shaw, Deloitte USI, Goldman Sachs, ICICI Group, ITC, JSW, Mahindra Logistics, Microsoft, Nomura, Pidilite Industries, TATA Steel and Uber.

The new recruiters who joined the placement included Adani Group, Berger Paints, Everest Group, EXL, Godrej Consumer Products Ltd., Larsen & Toubro, LatentView Analytics, Licious, Manyawar, McKinsey & Company, Merilytics, Qwixpert, Uber and VIP Industries.

Consulting & Strategy was the most popular domain contributing to 35% of offers. The offers were made by top hiring firms such as Bain & Company, Capgemini, Deloitte USI, EY, IBM, Infosys Consulting, WNS Global, Avalon Consulting, Everest Group, McKinsey & Company, and Qwixpert.

While 20% of participants received offers in the Financial sector from companies including Axis Bank, D.E. Shaw, Goldman Sachs, HDFC Bank, HSBC, ICICI Bank, JP Morgan Chase & Co., Nomura Investment, and TresVista, were also amongst the most prominent recruiters.

Additionally, 17% of offers were made for roles in Sales and Marketing by Affinity, Atomberg, Capgemini, Cipla, ITC, Pidilite Industries, TATA Steel, and Titan. Berger Paints, Godrej Consumer Products Ltd., Licious, Manyawar and Metalbook were some of the companies that joined the drive for the first time.
