New Delhi: IIM Calcutta hosted the crystal jubilee celebration of the Post Graduate Programme for Executives for Visionary Leadership in Manufacturing (PGPEX VLM) - “VLM NEXUS 22” on March 6, 2022.
The program is the idea of APJ Abdul Kalam, former President of India and professor Shoji Shiba. IIT Kanpur and IIT Madras also participated in the program.The 15th PGPEX VLM batch was graduating during the event.

Programme for Executives for Visionary Leadership in Manufacturing (PGPEX VLM) - “VLM NEXUS 22” was inaugurated by Uttam Kumar Sarkar, director of IIM Calcutta who recapitulated about the past batches of VLM.
PGPEX VLM program crystal jubilee celebration: speeches by guests
Peyush Bansal, CEO of Lenskart, emphasized the growth of the manufacturing sector in India after the pandemic along with the vitality of leadership in the Indian manufacturing sector. Amitabh Saran, CEO of Altigreen Propulsion Labs, stated that the reason for the failure of start-ups is indigestion and not starvation. Jyoti Kumar Agarwal, CFO of IndiGrid asserted the demand for skilled workers to ensure the emergence of India as the top three economies of the world.
PGPEX VLM program crystal jubilee celebration: Future Aim
Founding professors of IIM Calcutta, IIT Kanpur and IIT Madras presented their experiences when the program was in its incubation period. The professors and guest speakers extended their best wishes to the graduating students and the event ended with an aim to ensure that India becomes a pioneer in the manufacturing sector at the global level.
