New Delhi: As per the latest updates, IIM Bangalore is preparing to host "Yamini 2023", its flagship classical music and dance concert in offline mode from January 25, 2023. The event will be held for a duration of two days, on January 25 and January 26, 2023.
As per IIM Bangalore, the 19th edition of its flagship classical music and dance concert titled "Yamini" will be held at the Open Air Theatre (OAT) on campus grounds. The concert's main highlights will be the finest virtuosos of Indian classical music and arts.
Informing about the event, Nikhil Sonawane, Secretary, IIMB Chapter of SPICMACAY shared that to join IIM Bangalore Yamini 2023, participants have to carry their photo identity proof and mask. They are advised not to bring any vehicles as parking could be a challenge.
The official website reads, "among the feast on offer will be a musical journey through the mesmerizing rhythms of kathak, the soulful melodies of Carnatic vocals and captivating strains of Hindustani instrumental (Indian cello)".
In addition to this, the event will also cover performances from top artists as well as the ethereal beauty of Carnatic percussion (Ghatam), the masterful virtuosity of Carnatic instrumental (flute) and the soul-stirring vocals of Hindustani vocals.
The artists who join the IIMB Yamini 2023 are Pt. Rajendra Gangani (kathak), Vid. Neyveli Santhanagopalan (Carnatic vocals), Vid. Vikku Vinayakram (ghatam), Smt. Saskia Rao De Haas (cello), Vid. Mysore A Chandan Kumar (flute) and Pt. Sanjeev Abhyankar (Hindustani vocals).
