IIM Amritsar Collaborates with ICSI for Exchange of Learnings; Read Details Here


Indian Institute of Management, Amritsar has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) for academic and professional research, joint workshops, and exchange of learnings between the two institutes. 

The collaboration between the IIM Amritsar and ICSI took place on December 17, 2020, at the Savitribai Phule University, Pune, during its 48th National Convention of Company Secretaries.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two profound institutes will focus mainly on various projects including Joint Academic Research, Joint Workshops, and the Professional Development Programme for Company Secretaries.

Additionally, this partnership aims to share resources, extend invitations to international conferences to students of the Indian Institute of Management, Amritsar. 

An opportunity will also be provided to students to bag the ICSI Signature Award Gold Medal and a scholarship to pursue the Company Secretary Course.

Prof. Nagarajan Ramamoorthy, Director, IIM Amritsar, stated that the objective behind this collaboration is to promote an exchange of learning between the institutes while imparting training in professionalism to the students and to assist in promoting Executive Education Programmes. 

CS Ashish Garg, President ICSI, stated that while ICSI aims to develop professionals of the highest caliber, IIM aims to create world leaders. “Therefore, together, the efforts of the two Institutes will ensure maximum value creation in Corporate Governance,” he said. 

Additionally, ICSI signed MoU’s with Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore, IIM Nagpur, and Pune University under its academic collaboration initiative at the 48th National Convention of Company Secretaries.
