IIM Ahmedabad to Organise 43rd Faculty Development Program in April & May 2023

New Delhi: Indian Institutes of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad is preparing to organise its 43rd Faculty Development Program (FDP) in April and May 2023. It will be one of the first programs which will be offered to management educators in India by IIM Ahmedabad. 

As per IIM Ahmedabad, the Faculty Development Program will include case methods of teaching, case writing and classroom effectiveness, which will be based on the IIM Ahmedabad experience. More details regarding the program will soon be released on its official website. 

Earlier in January 2022, IIM Ahmedabad hosted the fifth edition of its IIMA-SRK lecture series after a three-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the country. The lecture series was organised in a collaboration with Shree Ramkrishna Foundation (SRKF).

The IIMA-SRK Lecture Series 2023 was offered with the aim to increase the industry and academic cooperation of the institute, which will further result in the development of disseminating knowledge in the field of education. 

In other news, the institute has gained another achievement as an IIT Madras and IIM Ahmedabad-incubated startup GUVI has launched a new platform which will assist in addressing the issues faced by students in job searching. 

Informing about this initiative of GUVI, Arun Prakash, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of GUVI, said, “Due to lack of time and money, people in India do not have access to quality placement preparation resources".

"We wanted to create a platform that promoted equitable access to education. We aim to provide comprehensive quality resources to assist students to prepare for their dream careers", he added. The platform will be available free of cost to all interested job seekers. 

IIT Madras and IIM Ahmedabad incubated ed-tech startup GUVI aims to help students in advancing their skills through specialised IT courses. It aims to prepare students for the workforce and create a platform where they can study in their native tongue.
