Talking about the admission process, IIM Calcutta alumnus and CAT mentor in Ahmedabad, Satish Kumar said, “Earlier, engineers used to dominate the list of shortlisted candidates”. But this year, more calls are given to non-engineers.

“Now, if an increasing number of non-engineers are also getting calls for the second round of admission at IIMA, I would like to believe that more non-engineers will convert the opportunity into an admission seat. Converting the call into a seat is equally challenging for both engineers and non-engineers”, he added.

Razim (Percentile: 99.78) Engineer, Ahmedabad University shared: “I am preparing to boost my academic knowledge and focusing on GK, current affairs and communication. I am also consulting my friends at IIMA about cracking this round. I have also got calls from other IIMs, but my priority is IIMA".

Candidates who have secured 80.62 percentile in CAT are offered call letters for 2nd round admissions at IIM Ahmedabad. For the 2023-25 session, the CAT percentile has been dropped for general category candidates for PGP And FABM programs.
