New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) has hosted the convocation ceremony for the graduates of the executive post graduate programme (ePGP) and executive post graduate diploma in advanced business analytics (ePGD-ABA).
During the IIM Ahmedabad convocation ceremony, a total of 105 students received their degrees, including 63 from the ePGP programme and 42 from the ePGD-ABA programme for the academic session 2022-23.
Along with IIM Ahmedabad Director Errol D'Souza, members of the board of governors, deans, programme chairmen, and other faculty members, employees, alumni, graduating students, and their families, Pankaj R. Patel, the chairman of the IIM Ahmedabad's board of governors, attended the convocation event.
IIM Ahmedabad offers a two-year programme called the ePGP course for seasoned working professionals. Over 850 hours of classroom time are allocated to the programme, and interactive classroom technology enables students to attend classes in study centres in their home cities.
A 16-month curriculum in applied analytics for working professionals, the ePGD-ABA programme was created specifically to meet the rising demand for knowledgeable analytics experts who can provide effective solutions to business problems.
On the occasion of convocation, Errol D'Souza said that IIM Ahmedabad has always worked to provide working professionals with a competitive advantage as they develop in their professions through its unique programmes.
The institute tries to create well-rounded professionals who can effectively manage resources, develop empathy for the people they deal with, better understand the needs of their organisations, and, most importantly, learn to foresee future demands.
Further, the IIM Ahmedabad is confident that by using their knowledge and abilities to positively influence business, people, and society, this group of alumni will continue the legacy of the Institute.
He concluded by expressing his gratitude and wishing luck to the ePGP and ePGD-ABA graduates to be successful and happy in their chosen careers.
Speaking before the convocation ceremony, IIM Ahmedabad's dean of programmes, Pradyumana Khokle, said that the institute has begun holding Special Convocations in January 2022 to highlight the significance of the new generation of e-programs at IIMA that are designed for working executives.
They maintain the academic rigour necessary for an IIM Ahmedabad degree and PG Diploma while combining the advantages of online and offline delivery, with the majority of the delivery taking place online. He congratulated everyone who had successfully completed their programmes and wished them luck in the future.
