IIM Ahmedabad Admission 2023 Open for FDP in Pedagogy and Research Methods; Apply till February 24, 2023

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad is inviting applications for admission to its 43rd Faculty Development Program (FDP) in Pedagogy and Research Methods. Interested candidates can apply for admission by February 24, 2023. 

As per IIM Ahmedabad, the Faculty Development Program, which is aimed towards management educators, will begin on April 11, 2023. Candidates who are qualified and interested in applying for the admissions can now do so on the official website at iima.ac.in.

Participants must have at least two years of post-graduate teaching or research experience in order to be eligible for the IIM Ahmedabad FDP program. Candidates will be chosen based on their background in teaching and research, degree of program readiness, and other factors.

Due to the limited number of seats available in the program, the FDP committee at IIMA will assess applications and, as necessary, conduct telephonic interviews to determine whether candidates are suitable for entry into the program.

IIM Ahmedabad Faculty Development Program Admission 2023: Highlights

At the conclusion of the session, a certificate will be given to each participant. The program would provide management research and pedagogical methodologies to management educators from India and overseas. 

In addition to this, the IIM Ahmedabad FDP Program 2023 will provide instruction in pedagogical strategies such as case-based learning, case writing, and classroom effectiveness. 

It covers crucial elements of formulating research questions, the process of journal publication, qualitative and quantitative research methods, statistical data analysis, and multivariate analytical tools.

The Faculty Development Program was one of the earliest programs given by IIM Ahmedabad and is one of the pioneering programs on faculty training and education in India, according to Professor Dhiman Bhadra, Chair of the FDP. 

As time went on, it underwent constant changes but it never strayed from its founding principles of rigorous training in management research and in fundamentals of general management and the case method of teaching, which is the distinguishing feature of IIMA education.

He shared, “Needless to say, this program has always proved to be a transformative experience to the participants who have gone on to remould themselves as successful teachers and prolific researchers over time. We hope that the tradition will prevail for the upcoming ‘Class of 2023”.
