IIIT Delhi Launches BTech Program in Electronics & VLSI Engineering; Check Details Here


New Delhi: IIIT Delhi has launched its first-ever BTech program in Electronics and VLSI Engineering (EVE) discipline for interested candidates. The program aims to encourage research and innovation in Information Technology (IT) and allied areas.

As per IIIT Delhi, the objective of the BTech program in Electronics and VLSI Engineering (EVE) is to offer problem-solving skills to interested participants with the help of suitable techniques and hardware and software technologies in the field of engineering.

The IIIT Delhi BTech Program 2022 will be open to those students who have completed their class 12th or equivalent qualifications in Physics, Chemistry and Math subject with at least 70% marks in aggregate from any recognised examination board. 

After the application process, the institute will shortlist candidates for IIIT Delhi BTech admission seats based on their marks secured in JEE Mains 2022 exam conducted by NTA. The admission seats will be allotted through the Joint Admission Counselling (JAC).

Informing the course, IIIT Delhi informs, “In order to give due importance to applied as well as -theoretical aspects of EVE, the curriculum for the BTech (EVE) program covers most of the foundational aspects and also develops in students the engineering skills for problem-solving”. 

“BTech program at IIIT-Delhi starts with computing and Electronics courses first and allows the possibility of doing science courses later. It also enables the possibility of students to see newer applications and possibilities of using computing and electronics in these subjects” it added.

In addition to this, the institute also offers a two-year MTech program in electronics and communications engineering (VLSI and embedded systems). Admission to this course will be done based on marks secured in the qualifying examination: GATE 2022.
