IIIT Delhi Hosts its 11th Convocation on Campus, Over 500 Students Awarded Degrees


New Delhi: After a two-year hiatus, the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Delhi has recently conducted its 11th convocation on November 26, 2022. During the event, 390 BTech, 191 MTech, five MTech dual degrees and twenty-one PhD students received their degrees from the institute.

As per IIIT Delhi, the convocation was held in offline mode after two years, in which Tharun S (MTech CSE) received the gold medal for outstanding academic achievement in the MTech programme. This year's gold medal winner was Osheen Sachdev, a BTech in Computer Science Engineering student. 

Additionally, the silver medals were given to Hritik Goel (BTech in Electronics and Communications Engineering), Rohith Rajesh (BTech in ECE), Lakshya A. Agrawal (BTech in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics) and Hardik Saini (BTech in Computer Science and Biosciences).

Sonali Singhal from BTech in Computer Science and Design batch and Ruhma Mehek Khan from BTech in Computer Science and Social Science batch were also awarded silver medals. While PhD students Krishan Gupta, Himani Joshi, Maneet Singh, and Neelam Sharma were given Doctoral Dissertation Awards.

Six graduating students of the institute: Vrinda Narayan (BTech CSE), Shubhi Singhal (BTech ECE), Lakshya Agrawal (BTech CSAM), Arnav Tandon (BTech CSD), Ruhma Mehek Khan (BTech CSSS), and Vrinda Singhal (BTech CSB) received all-around performance medals for the year 2022.

Speaking on the occasion, Professor Ranjan Bose spoke about the institute's initiatives and shared that a new BTech degree in electronics and VLSI engineering was launched by the institute earlier this year.

In his speech, Professor Bose advised the graduating students to use every experience as a teacher to help them become more conscious of who they really are. The graduating students were given the task of being change agents, innovators, and leaders.
