IIIT Bhagalpur Admission 2022 Open for M.Tech, PhD, M.Tech-PhD Dual Degree; Apply Till July 06

New Delhi: IIIT Bhagalpur is currently accepting applications for its M.Tech, PhD and M.Tech- PhD Dual Degree programme for the academic session 2022-23. Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form through the official portal, iiitbh.ac.in. The last date to apply is July 06, 2022.

IIIT Bhagalpur offers its PhD course in various specializations that include Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, and Basic Science and Humanities. For pursuing this course, a 50% tuition fee waiver will be offered to full-time self-financed Indian research scholars who only have qualified GATE scores. 

To get selected for the PhD programme of IIIT Bhagalpur candidates should have a master's degree in the relevant field. However, for M.Tech and M.Tech- PhD Dual Degree course a bachelor's degree in the relevant field is mandatory. The university also conducts an entrance test to select students followed by a personal interview round.

IIIT Bhagalpur M.Tech, PhD, M.Tech-PhD Dual Degree Admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria

M.Tech, M.Tech- PhD Dual Degree:

• Bachelors degree in the relevant specializations with CGPA of 6.5 or 60% of marks or equivalent in the qualifying degree, fulfilling specific requirements for different departments.
• Preference will be given to the GATE-qualified candidates.
• Bachelor's degree from IITs/IIITs/NITs/IISc or any Institute of repute with a minimum CGPA of 7.5 and/or 70% of marks or equivalent.

PhD in Engineering: 

• Master's degree in Engineering/Technology in a relevant area with CGPA of 6.5 or 60% or equivalent; or
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology/Medical Sciences in a relevant area with CGPA of 8.0 or 75% or equivalent with valid GATE score; or
• Bachelor's degree from IITs/NITs/IIITs or any Institute of repute in a relevant area with a minimum CGPA of 7.0 or 70% of marks or equivalent; or 
• A student of IIIT Bhagalpur who is continuing B.Tech and having a CGPA of 8.0 at the end of the sixth semester may be enrolled in PhD at the beginning of the seventh semester. However, he/she has to complete the seventh and eighth semesters of the B.Tech. Such students can receive dual B.Tech and PhD degrees; or 
• A regular student of IIIT Bhagalpur who is continuing M.Tech and has a CGPA of 8.0 at the end of the second semester may be enrolled on PhD at the beginning of his/her third semester. Such students can receive dual M.Tech and PhD degrees; or 
• An M.Tech degree holder of IIIT Bhagalpur, with a CGPA of 8.0, up to a period of 02 years from completing the program, may be considered for direct admission into PhD; or
• In exceptional cases an NRI applicant with B.Tech degree or equivalent in respective discipline with an excellent academic record with CGPA of 7.5 or 70% marks or equivalent may be considered eligible.

PhD in Mathematics: 

• Master's degree in Mathematics or equivalent with CGPA of 6.5 or 60% or equivalent. 
• There will be no Institute stipend, however, candidates with valid CSIR-JRF, UGC-JRF, NBHM, INSPIRE or any other equivalent funding recognized by MHRD are eligible for the award of a fellowship from the concerned organization in the relevant field.

• Firstly applicants are shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the qualifying entrance examination conducted by the university.
• Shortlisted candidates then need to appear in the personal interview round.
• The final selection is based on the overall performance of the candidate's overall academic score, performance in the test and PI round.

• Step 1: Visit the official website of IIIT Bhagalpur, at iitbh.ac.in.
• Step 2: Register yourself after filling in the required details such as Name, Email Id, Contact Number etc.
• Step 3: Now, log in with your registration credentials and fill in all details in the Application form.
• Step 4: Pay the application fee of INR 1000 and submit the Application form. 
• Step 5: After filling the form, the candidates are advised to take a print of your application, fee receipt and other supporting documents and send hard copies with self-attestation to:
