Mrs. Kripa Sawlani is the Principal of MKSSS Institute of Fashion Technology. She did B.Sc. from Shivaji College, Chikli and M.Sc. in Fashion Designing. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Fashion Technology. She has worked as Faculty, Principal and Director in various design institutes. She has also started her own venture, Colour Garments in the year 2020. Her areas of expertise are Boutique Management, Export-Import, Sketching, Apparel Accessories and Elements of Styling. She is in the field of Fashion for more than 10 years now.
What are your roles and responsibilities?
“To provide knowledge for students and update policies on campus”
One of my roles is to ensure the right knowledge for students. It is essential to get all facilities for every student. We update policies on campus each year. It assists to get the best teaching and facilities for all individuals.
What factors connect you with the education sector?
“Social aspect, Trust, Attention and New learnings in the education sector”
Some factors connecting me with the education sector are Knowledge, Trust, and regular New learnings. Other areas are interesting, setting a goal and attention. It highlights my level of aspiration and dreams.
What is your leadership philosophy?
“To give the best quality education, scholarships, loans and schemes for students”
All challenges are tackled through a positive attitude. One of my leadership philosophies is to provide the best quality education without any partiality. Another side is to give scholarships, loans, and financial schemes to students.

“Provide industrial visit, fieldwork, and practical training for students”
Students can gain best industrial practices on campus. It assists to get Knowledge for a better future in the Fashion industry. We try to give global exposure for pupils in the fashion department to represent India.

We give practical education along with theoretical knowledge. The curriculum of the campus is designed as per the updated requirements of the industry. Moreover, 3 industrial visits are provided to pupils every year. They practice industrial machines and software regularly for upcoming placements.
How does your college welcome students of different economic backgrounds?
“Provide facilities in an equal manner for students”
We did not believe in discrimination and provide all facilities equally to students. The lecture planning, preparation, and research are created at the time of the staff meeting. Faculties encourage the personal development of students through tutorials and examinations. There is a constant teaching time for students checking and giving assessments for them. They work on research proposals, papers and publications.
What is the top priority of campus for the next 10 years?
“To start a degree and masters in the fashion department of campus”
Our campus is developing each day. It leads to rising contacts with several industries for practical sessions. We decided to start degrees and masters in the fashion department of campus in the upcoming years. It gives quality education at affordable prices for pupils.
