Q1. What are C.A.and ICAI?
Ans CA is the short form of Chartered Accountancy. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), the country's professional accountancy body, conducts this course. New Delhi is the headquarters for the Institute, which has more than 100 branches throughout the country and abroad.
Q2. After passing CA Foundation, what is the next step?
Ans A student can join the Chartered Accountancy Course only after passing the Foundation and 10+2 examinations conducted by an Indian examination body or an examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent thereto. Education of Chartered Accountancy is divided into two levels:
Intermediate: After passing Foundation exams, a student registers for Intermediate.Intermediate registration will be done after passing Foundation exams under which students will have to appear in exams after nine months of registration.
Final Course:The final course is articled training, which is a 3 year course or an equivalent course.Six months of articled training shall be credited to eight months of service as an audit assistant.
Q3. What are qualifying marks?
Ans A minimum score of 50% is required.
Q4. Are the Foundation Exams held every year?
Ans The foundation exam is conducted twice a year, once in May and once in November.

Ans There are no reservations for ST/SC/OBC in CA courses.
Q6. What will be the start date for the Articleship under the new scheme of Intermediate Education, Training, and Examination?
Ans A student is eligible to register for articleship after passing Group I or Group II of Intermediate, and the period of articleship is three years.
