Hyderabad University to Implement NEP 2020 from Academic Session 2022-23: Know More Here


New Delhi: As per the latest statement made by the University of Hyderabad, the university is now preparing to launch various new initiatives on the campus under National Education Policy 2020 in the coming academic year, 2022-23. 

The statement to implement NEP 2020 was made by the University of Hyderabad, UoH's Vice-Chancellor, Professor BJ Rao during the commencement of the 73rd Republic Day celebrations held on January 26, 2022. 

During the event, Professor BJ Rao stated that the NEP 2020 committee of the university has done a very good job in mapping the implementation of NEP 2020 from the academic session 2022-23. With the hard work of the committee, we are hoping to launch various initiatives. 

Adding to his statement, he said, “Our NEP 2020 is about to be launched in the next academic year 2022-23. The NEP 2020 committee has done laudable work in road mapping the implementation of NEP 2020".

"We need to gear up towards a newer and novel multi-disciplinary course curriculum much more student-centric and competitive. More innovative and far-reaching e-learning modules need to be designed and implemented in NEP-2020" he added.

While talking about the achievements of the university, UoH officials said that despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown restrictions, the university recorded good UoH Placement 2022 data. 

During the placement drive of 2020-21, a total of 421 students were placed in 230 companies. As for the academic year 2021-22, about 269 students have already been placed in top companies so far. The data is expected to increase further, officials added. 

To provide students with one-of-a-kind education facilities and infrastructure, the University of Hyderabad is working on constructing 13 buildings with a budget of Rs.160 crore. After the construction work, the buildings will be used for various education-related activities. 

Referring to the construction plan, UoH Vice-Chancellor said, “Most of them will be available before December 2022. In addition, we plan to invest to build world-class infrastructure worth over a few hundred crores, in a short span of 2-3 years”.

The University of Hyderabad is one of the well-known central universities of Hyderabad which is approved by UGC and accredited by NAC. The university offers various UoH UG, PG Courses to interested and eligible candidates. 

The university is famous for its postgraduate and doctorate-level courses in engineering, management, science, and technology stream. The UoH Admission process for these courses begins at the start of the academic year for all candidates.
