About M.Sc (Biotechnology) at Hyderabad University 

This flagship course was launched in 1990 under the National Postgraduate Program of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. The programme consists of four semesters with a credit assessment system and the latest curriculum recommended by DBT.

Students can choose the optional courses offered at the Department / School level and the Foundation courses offered at the university level. In addition to rigorous academic training, students interact with the biotech industries to make use of opportunities to learn translational aspects of product development and marketing.

After successful completion of 2 semesters of course work, students shall be assigned to the available project supervisors on the basis of the criteria in practice or as decided by the Admission Committee / Department / School. Short-term industrial training and internships are encouraged during summer and winter breaks in accordance with DBT 's guidelines. Of India, man.

Application Process: The selection is based on the 'Graduate Aptitude Test for Biotechnology (GAT-B)-2020' conducted by the Regional Center for Biotechnology, Faridabad. A separate call for admissions to this programme will be announced by the University of Hyderabad shortly after the GAT-B score has been announced.
