With the rising demand for Artificial Intelligence (AI) professionals in the near future, TSW in partnership with IIT-Ropar has announced the launch of Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Artificial Intelligence & Deep Learning.
Students can be a part of this programme via virtual classroom, from the comfort of their home.
In one of the LinkedIn reports, '2020 Emerging Jobs Report India' featuring the top 15 emerging jobs in India. 'AI specialist' job appeared at 2nd position in the list. According to Gartner, there would be around 2.3 million job opportunities in the AI field in the coming future.
The AI programme was formally launched on May 21, 2020 by TSW and IIT-Ropar. Prof. Sarit Kumar Das and Mr. Anish Krikrishna, also signed MoU for a long term collaboration.
The newly launched programme will be coordinated by the Indo-Taiwan Joint Research Center (ITJRC) on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, at IIT Ropar. ITJRC is a bilateral center for collaborative research in disruptive technologies like AI and ML.
Some of the important details of programme are:
Duration of programme: 6 months
Classes held on : Weekends (as live online sessions by instructors)
Total hours: 200+ learning hours
Application starts from: July 20, 2020
Eligibility: Minimum 2 years of work experience in the IT industry. Engineering degree is a prerequisite, however background in mathematics or coding is not necessary to be eligible.
On completion of programme, the certificates will be awarded in a convocation ceremony at IIT-Ropar campus. The participants will also receive a joint certificate from TSW and IIT Ropar and will get a status of IIT-Ropar Executive Education Alumni.
