During the grand finale, the shortlisted participants are likely to build the solution, in order to demonstrate their concepts and prove that their ideas are technically feasible and more importantly implementable to the jury members. However, the jury members will consider the best ideas and decide the winners.
Further, the image and video analytics, sentiment analysis, natural language processing, image and video analytics, data analytics, fake content detection and cybercrime are the various problem statements.
For College/University students, all team members should be from the same college; no inter-college teams are allowed. However, members from various branches of the same college/ institute are encouraged to form a team.
Neeraj Sinha, Additional Director General BPRD said during the launch program that BPRD has released 20 challenge statements for MANTHAN 2021, which will offer a unique opportunity to all the youngsters to think out-of-the-box and develop innovative concepts for solving some of the daunting problems faced by the security agencies. Moreover, he added that if they like some ideas, then they will decide to work with those specific team members to support their implementation.
The BPRD has organised several national and international Hackathons from the last five years by collaborating with different agencies as they are keen on offering real life challenges or problems for students to work. Further, it is very important to solve problems as MANTHAN Hackathon is extremely crucial as it has direct application in strengthening national security, said the AICTE Chairman, Anil D. Sahasrabudhe, during the event launch.
He also stated that a large number of youngsters are expected to participate in the initiative, which will help BPR&D to identify the best of the minds and ideas in India.
